Something that melts in your mouth so irresistibly!

It's time for all chocolate lovers to drool over this last dessert review!

Alright folks! Here's what I have in store for you this week; Mini Fondant Bitter Cake. Sounds bitter to you? Don't ever judge this dessert by its name. Taste it first before you have any comments on it. What does fondant meant if you were wondering? Buck up on your language skills then, it’s a word from French meant as melting. So in other words, it’s Mini Melting Bitter Cake!

Where can you find this joyful dessert? Heard of this very old yet famous ice cream house called "Swensen's"?  Located at Petaling Jaya, SS2, "Swensen's" is in the neighbourhood of those who are staying nearby and far-off who are not familiar with this place, but fret not, they may have their franchises nearer than you think!

It was my first time stepping into Swensen’s; believe me, you'll be astounded when you see the menu under the 'Sundaes and Sweet treats'. Each and every dessert looked so appealing, appetizing and heavenly good! Though, bear in mind that pictures were for illustration only. However, I bet that you'll have the same reaction as I do when you look at the menu. You will want to order everything in the menu! The portion of the dessert is huge, despite the fact that it’s just for one person per serving. Definitely, the desserts are worth splurging on, especially if you're a sweet tooth like me!

Conversely, this mini fondant bitter cake managed to catch the attention from my eyes as I walked into the shop at the display shelves for cakes.

 Doesn’t it look so delightful!

Glazed chocolate coating with a piece of white marble chocolate piece placed on top, some rice white and complimented with black chocolate crisp balls at the sides just to complete the pie with a cherry on top!

Aren’t you drooling? I know I am !

So this cake named itself as bitter cake because it is rich with chocolate inside and out. Behind the glazed coating of the chocolate is a rich, moist, semi-sweet chocolate cake.  It melts in your mouth once you scoop in. Those chocolate crisp balls gave an extra taste to it, as it is crispy and it is not sweet, but more to the salty side. The flavours blends awfully well with the chocolate coating and the moist cake. Intensify the ectasy when you break the white marble chocolate piece at the top and have it together with the cake! Again, both melts into your mouth and this time you would be able to taste the milkier side of the cake as the white chocolate combines.

It is just RM 8.90++ for this wonderful cake. With the fulsome of rich chocolate inside out, I would die just to have another one! Oh, one more thing I almost missed out; Swensen’s have their Tuesday’s Promotion, where you can order anything in their menu for only RM 9.80. Now, what are you waiting for? Let’s Go! Remember to bring me along!

I'll make you so happy, my name is Adzuki! :)

Hello readers, fancy another tantalizing treat?

Well you're definitely in for a treat!

This week, I shall tease your tastebuds with Adzuki Bean Snow Ice! Yes, snow ice. If you are not familiar with snow ice, it is actually shaved ice that comes in a variety of flavours. This Adzuki Bean snow ice is one of the many flavours you can choose from and My Honeymoon Cafe sells spectacular snow ice!

Located at Sunway Pyramid, this expensive looking little cafe definitely fooled me with the lavish decorations. Upon much closer inspection, I was simply awestruck at how cheap are the desserts sold here!

If you have a sweeth tooth and you fancy Asian desserts, then you would no doubt be another of My Honeymoon's regular customers in no time after your first visit! Despite the painful moments spent staring and flipping the menu back and forth, you're bound to love whatever you order! It was nearly impossible to choose ONE dessert out of all mouth watering eye catching desserts they offer, but I managed to decide on one.

I had chosen, as aforementioned, Adzuki Bean Snow Ice!

If you are not drooling right now, sue me! :)

From the looks of it, I'm sure that you can tell how delicious this snow ice is. The moment the snow ice touches your tongue, it melts instantly and the thick taste of the Adzuki bean fills up your mouth. If you didn't know, Adzuki beans taste very much like red beans, but not as thick.

This snow ice was served with four side toppings to enjoy it with. The four toppings that came along with my Adzuki Bean snow ice were; yogurt popping balls, sago balls, chickpeas and also red bean! The red beans and chickpeas further enhanced the intensity of the bean taste when eaten with the Aduki Bean snow ice. But the yogurt popping balls and sago balls complimented this snow ice perfectly! I had never eaten yoggurt popping balls before, and it took me some time to actually figure out what it was! The sour aftertaste of the yogurt popping balls combined with the sago balls created a peculiar but deligtful taste when eaten with the Adzuki Bean snow ice.I daresay that the combination is as addictive catnips are to cats as it is for me!

Priced at merely Rm10, this Adzuki Bean snow ice is best enjoyed with a company. You know what they say; the best things in life are better when they are shared with someone.
So you go get your car keys and I'll get my shoes okay? :)
